Family first

I work Monday through Friday like most everyone and like everyone, I wish for the weekend to come super FAST. My favorite thing to do on the weekend is absolutely NOTHING! I get to focus on my baby and get a few tiny errands done around the house. We visited Didi and Dashawn's house two weeks ago and Aamira had so much fun. She got to hang out with so many new cousins that she met when she was a tiny infant.

On the way to Didi's

My sister Simi and her family are moving to North Carolina in September (not looking forward to it), so going to Didi's was supposed to be one last big get together before they leave. :(. We were all so busy cooking and eating that we didn't have a moment to think about how much we will miss them (thank God...don't want to cry and eat Tiramisu at the same time). We took a ton of pics of all the little babies and families that came, I will post them once my MacBook is fixed (darn thing is giving me trouble....still love it).

Will miss days like this with my babies :(

Aamira watched her first movie on Saturday, Monsters University. I know she's not afraid of the dark (unlike her daddy), so my only worry was that she would get bored sitting in my lap. She ended up hanging over me, moving around side to side, and finally knocking out! I really enjoyed the movie, and Aamira probably watched it for a good ten minutes before she started squirming around. Everyone went to watch the movie except for Mr. Aman (you suck), and we all went to Chevy's afterwards. Overall we had an awesome weekend. I love my fam bam.
My sleepy baby, and baby bro (although he's the same height as me now)
So cute

Aamira's sleeping habbits have started to change now that she's ten months old. At around 4:00am, my little devil goes on a mommy hunt in the bed. She sits up, or plops her head on top of my chest (scary, don't want her to land on my face). I actually love it because she sleeps on her side and puts her arms around me (most of the time she grabs my hair...maybe to make sure I don't move). I love sleeping with my baby, I feel like taking a nap with her right now (took two with her yesterday :-) ).

Aamira threw up last sunday..a little after this nap :(.

I appreciate every moment that I get to spend with my family. We got to spend some time with Kirin Maci on Sunday, and then went to Costco with Aman. I love my husband for always being supportive of all of my decisions, and giving me the confidence of being able to reach any goal (including child birth hehe). I am so glad to have an awesome hubby like him by my side (hope I still feel that way after the Drake concert :0))...to bother...yell at...and occasionally beat up. :) j/k You are a great dad and I can't wait to spend the next weekend together as a family.
Thanks for making me look crazier than necessary.

I'll never be the same

I can't believe it's been three months since my last post. I feel like everything is the same with my hubby and I, but Aamira has changed so much. So many firsts; first crawl at Maci's house, first trip, first time in the pool. I fall in love with this kid more and more each day, and I think she feels the same about me (I know she does husband, stop being jealous).
Surprise visit from you and daddy on our five year wedding anniversary.

First drive with Mr Kermit the Frog

Aamira's personality has changed so much, she has super crazy temper tantrums which start by grunting, then shaking, then turning RED. She knows that I go upstairs everyday after work to change, so now she pushes herself to climb the stairs while I am holding her. I have to let her go so she can race her little bum up the steps.

I always have her come to the bathroom with me so she could watch me brush (trying to instill those good habits in her now), then she watches me floss while she holds the floss container (her favorite thing to do). I decided to buy her a toothbrush so she could start practicing...bad idea. All she did was shake it in her hand and let it fall on the floor or the sink. Finally she learned to put the darn thing in her mouth, but at that point I was so grossed out with the brush that I had to throw it away.

Gotta wait to have teeth for your next toothbrush booboos.

First time wearing a suit....and yes I changed her bow to match later on.

Neelam Maci's reception

I celebrated my first Mother's Day thanks to my baby. Aman (my hubby) took us out for brunch in Napa, and then to Barnes and Noble. I remember my sisters and I would take my brother to B&N to let him play with the train set, he enjoys seeing the trains even today! Aamira loved playing there just like her Mamu. I bought her two books so I could read them to her every night.

I love your smile

I could stare at this picture all day :)

First time playing "mattress world" with your cousins.

We took Aamira on her first trip in May for my sister-in-laws wedding. I was worried about how Aamira would react to being on an airplane, she knocked out right when the plane took off (different story on the way back). We were so busy with wedding events and taking Aamira to the pool that the three days just  flew by. Aman abandoned me (he went to get a beer haha) and Aamira in the lazy river at MGM and we were getting attacked by drunk people. Random people were touching her hands and cheeks and I was getting anxiety. I knew the lazy river was a bad idea...never going in there again with the baby (sorry Aman).

First flight---to Vegas

Ready for her first swim

Took an hour nap after this

First time in her big girl stroller at the Livermore outlets.

Between working two jobs, attending family events, and date nights with the hubby, I try to spend every moment with my baby girl. I feel like it took me 30 minutes to turn 30, and 10 seconds for Aamira to turn 10 months.

No Didi, she's not playing Call of Duty :)

Grocery shopping while waiting for Mamu at Kumon

Dad in the middle of screaming OOOoOOOo to scare Aamira..

I went shopping in Walnut creek with the fam bam on Friday. What a bad idea it was to take three kids with us! On the way there we were fantasizing about having a baby-sitter while we shopped, we named the sitter Tinku. Tinku would feed the kids, entertain them while we shopped, and hold all of our shopping bags. By the end of the trip we realized that we turned our brother into Tinku! Sorry Sukhman, we love you!!! :) I really don't know how he has the patience to have THREE older sisters, and FOUR little nieces. I know many people don't appreciate him since he is 'lazy' and doesn't 'listen,' but for a thirteen year old, I think he is a DAMN good kid(just ignore me when I yell at you)!!!!

The loves of my life, just missing little Samirra, Maci will miss you when you leave :(.
